Meet in public campus spaces. Confirm only after you have inspected the item.

  1. Buyer authorizes payment on Empeerium.
  2. The card network holds the funds (they are not captured yet).
  3. Buyer inspects the item in person at a public campus spot.
  4. Buyer and seller each confirm the exchange.
  5. Payment is captured.
  6. Seller payout is initiated to the connected Stripe account.
  7. Unconfirmed exchanges expire or can be disputed under the existing cancellation rules.

Prefer daylight, staffed buildings, and well-traveled quads. Bring a friend when you can. Never confirm a Campus Protected handoff for an item you did not receive.

Disputes and expirations follow the existing cancellation rules. Off-platform payment apps are not covered.
